CHILDREN on the Isle of Wight are to have the time of their lives next weekend.
The Island's council and voluntary groups have teamed up to host what is being billed as the biggest ever event for Isle of Wight youngsters.
The event - The Big Day Out - will take place at Blackgang Chine on Sunday from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
Five thousand tickets - which are available on a first come, first served basis - can be obtained from Island libraries.
Tickets entitle the owner to free transport to and from Blackgang and free entry to the park.
The event has been designed to find out the views of Island children to help design services with them in mind.
Information will be gathered on the day using an interactive computer game.
