FOR her latest album, The Boy Next Door, jazz singer Stacey Kent has covered tracks associated with some of heroes, including Tony Bennett and Paul Simon.
Expect to hear some of these numbers when she makes her latest appearance at the Concorde Club, Eastleigh, on Wednesday, October 8.
Born in New York, Stacey was all set for a life in academia when she bumped into her now husband, saxophonist Jim Tomlinson, in Oxford.
The pair embarked on a year's study at the Guildhall School of Music before Stacey began honing her skills on London's jazz scene.
In addition to her five best-selling albums and a string of awards, Stacey is also presenter of Radio 2's Big Band Special and Radio 3's Jazz Line-Up.
Tickets cost from £12.50. Box office: 023 8061 3989.
