Millbrook are still in search of their first victory of the campaign but came within an adjudged forward pass of defeating Fareham Heathens, going down 12-8.
Had the official not felt captain Dean Weavers pass to winger Paul Moschakis was forward, it would have been the home side celebrating and moving away from the wrong end instead of the visitors for whom skipper Mark Dunning was disappointed with his team's performance.
A young Millbrook side, minus a number of players at the Eastleigh Veterans Tournament, faired well but they could not prevent Heathens using the slope to their advantage in the second half to score tries through Dunning and second-time debutant Matt Southey.
