NO WONDER young Sally Roe looks happy - she's just won a Saints football shirt signed by her favourite singer, Craig David.
The 13-year-old Daily Echo reader of Longmore Avenue, Woolston was one of scores of entrants to our competition to win a footie shirt signed by the city's number one singing sensation, published in a FA Cup-themed edition of the paper.
Sally knew that the answer to our question "What was Craig David's first number one single?" was Fill Me In.
The Saints shirt - similar to a shirt worn on stage by the football-mad Craig - was signed with a personal message from the international star.
Sally, a pupil at Woolston Secondary School, said: "I was so excited to win the shirt. Craig is my favourite singer. I've got all of his records and his posters are all over my bedroom. I'm even going to see him live in Bournemouth later this year."
Craig releases his new single Spanish next Monday. The fourth single to be lifted from his platinum-selling second album Slicker Than Your Average, Craig wrote the song while imagining how nice it would be to be on holiday. The single will be released with an official house mix, a hip-hop version and a Punjabi club mix with Rishi Rich, featuring parts sung in Punjabi by Craig.
