SOUTHAMPTON YMCA celebrated 125 years in the city with an open day attended by the city's mayor Parvin Damani.
The event took place at the centre in Cranbury Avenue, where members of staff were on hand to welcome VIP guests and provide information on the work of the YMCA.
Exhibitions portrayed the history of the YMCA in Southampton and its current contribution to the fabric of the city.
A musical talent show took place, judged by a panel of celebrity guests including former Brotherhood Of Man singer and record producer Barry Upton.
Also on the panel were Chris Barfoot, president of Anglo American Pictures, and Southampton-based musician and composer Stephen Keith, co-writer of Gareth Gates's latest single, Sunshine.
