A bumper crowd is expected to welcome London Division rugby to Romsey for the first time but they will be hoping their home debut will not be quite as traumatic as their opening day problems at Old Emanuel a fortnight ago.
They welcome relegated Dorking to the Sports Centre and should, as long as registration documents have been cleared in time, offer debuts to hooker James Street and former King Edward VI School flanker Tom Beaumont.
The key to Southampton's eventual survival in London Four last term was their home form and they will be relying upon that again this season, starting tomorrow when Romsey's opening day conquerors, Old Emanuel, travel south.
Saints have been forced into a couple of changes where Southampton Institute flanker Harry Knighton is given his first start. Paul Brant keeps the scrum-half shirt while Martyn Sheridan partners James Wolfe in the centres.
In London Division Three South-West, Tottonians need a win to settle themselves down and have the chance against unpredictable Old Wimbledonians.
Totts are able to recall flanker Gareth Edwards from a pre-season suspension for cold-suffering Clive Wilkes while talented young winger Joe Jarvis is given his chance. Another youngster, Mark Dibden, is included on the bench. Alton can extend their good league start when they host Effingham & Leatherhead.
