New Milton & District will be opening their recently completed clubhouse extension at the Ashley Sports Ground ahead of their Hampshire Division One meeting with Guernsey.
But they will be hoping the Channel Islanders do inflict similar pain to that from last season.
One-match league leaders New Milton would like nothing more than to mark the occasion with a second success.
But Guernsey, also opening day victors at Fareham Heathens, were, according to coach and club president Norman Cracknell, "the only side that showed us up last season," when they smashed the Foresters 41-11 in early December.
However, having turned in a tremendous performance at Sandown & Shanklin in the Powergen Junior Vase last week, the New Forest side are on a real high despite missing prop James Mallett on a family trip to Leicestershire and key front-row men Paul Eveleigh and Russell Early for the whole season.
Eastleigh's match with Sandown & Shanklin has been moved to Sunday afternoon to allow the club to host their annual Charity Veterans Tournament, which starts at 11am on Saturday.
With the first XV on such a morale-high, it could be a doubly successful weekend against the travelling Islanders.
The tournament does, however, force a number of Millbrook's first XV players to miss their league game with Fareham Heathens including full-back Mike Goodridge.
But Mike Mulcahy will not be joining them as he is absent after having plastic surgery on an eye wound sustained in the first half of the game with Southampton last weekend.
Heathens do spring a local surprise by naming former twice Eastleigh and two times Southampton flanker Matt Southey in their pack for injured Ed Monk.
Trojans make just one change to the side that performed superbly in defeating Worthing II last week, bringing Adrian Smith back at full-back for teenager Luke Glass when they meet Farnborough.
Fawley are improved by the return of former colts player Sam Herrman at fullback for the visit of fellow promotees Isle of Wight as both sides cite their first wins of the season.
Club director of rugby Andy Headley is back at flanker and Dave Hart is recalled at hooker.
