PLANS to build a 50-bedroom hotel with restaurant, health and fitness club, day nursery and drive-through restaurant in Andover have been approved by Test Valley Borough councillors.
The application is for a Whitbread Travel Inn, Brewsters Family Pub and Restaurant, Bannatyne Health Club and Just
Learning Day Nursery to be built on a site off the Hundred Acre Corner roundabout, between the A343 Churchill Way West and the A342.
Councillors were reassured by officers that buildings would be of a contemporary and consistent design. Test Valley Mayor Pat West said in a letter to councillors: "I fully support this application."
The new development could create more than 175 jobs and provide childcare facilities for up to 100 children.
