THIEVES stole thousands of pounds of electrical goods in a daring night -time raid.
The heist was carried out from a Dutch transport company lorry as the driver slept in his cab unaware of what was happening.
The culprits used a knife to slice a hole in the protective curtain of the trailer which they climbed through to unload the equipment.
Police believe a large van would have been required to unload the 50 boxes of merchandise and drive it away.
Among the goods stolen were 12 boxes of men's Gillette Razors, eight boxes of ladies' Gillette Venus razors, 20 boxes of "O" Mouse wireless technology computer mice and ten boxes of multimedia computer keyboards.
The driver parked up to sleep at 9.30pm on Monday September 22 at the Flanders Industrial Park in Flanders Road, Hedge End.
When he awoke at 7am the next morning the items were missing.
Officer in the case PC Mark Carter is appealing for anyone with any information relating to the incident to come forward.
Holland-based Beentjes Transport lost £17,000 of goods in the raid.
He said: "These items are going to be offered around for sale, especially the ladies' and gentlemen's razors. If anyone has been offered anything like this or saw a reasonable sized vehicle parked next to the lorry on the night it occurred please contact me at Hedge End Police Station."
Anyone with any information can contact PC Carter on 0845 045 4545 or alternatively on the anonymous Crime-stoppers number 0800 555111.
