PEOPLE are being urged to put their best foot forward to get healthy.
A series of walks is being organised by the city's Active Options Programme, along with Thornhill New Deal for Commun-ities, as a way of enjoying the environment while getting fit.
Lynda Barnes, Thornhill health development officer, said the walk was just one of the ways that the £50m New Deal grant was being used to enhance the health and well-being of locals.
She said: "Walking is an effective way of reducing your blood pressure and cholesterol levels and can also help with weight loss and stress management."
The event, led by qualified walk leaders, will take participants around Netley Common, looking at points of interest along the way. The first walk starts from Meredith Towers car park on Tuesday at 2pm.
