Hundreds of balloons filled the skies over Chandler's Ford to mark the official launch of Asda's Tickled Pink Campaign for Breast Cancer Care.

There was a prize of £100 of vouchers for the balloon which travelled the farthest from superstore.

The finder of that long distance balloon also had a chance of netting £25 of vouchers by returning it.

Earlier in the week staff and shoppers at the Bournemouth Road store raised their voices to help break the record for the world's biggest singalong.

Events co-ordinator Lesley Mead got everyone who was on the shop floor at the time to take part in the nationwide event. It was led by pop star Louise from Asda's store in Leyton, London, and broadcast over ASDA FM.

The hypermarket roof was raised with the song Don't Give Up, which Louise exclusively recorded for the company's Tickled Pink Campaign.

To beat the record time more than 83,637 people had to sing at the same time. Lesley said they were waiting to see if they had sung themselves into the record books.
