THE WOMAN at the centre of the Millbrook Towers health row has expressed dismay and anger over the claims made by her neighbour.
The mum-of-three, who asked not to be named, admitted that last year her flat was in disarray - but said she was now on top of her problems and getting her life back on track.
"I would do anything for my children. They are clean, tidy and well-fed. There are no flies in my flat and these claims are not true," she said.
"I've been in my flat for 11 years and this is the first time I've ever had any complaints. I've never had any problems with neighbours.
"I used to be on the Millbrook Towers committee and I used to run the parents and toddlers club. I have so many friends in that building."
She added that she had put a sandpit and paddling pool on the balcony for her children to play in - but said they had never been used as a toilet.
She also said a friend was helping her redecorate the two-bedroom flat at the moment.
The woman, who spoke to the Daily Echo over the weekend, said she feared the allegations were made in retaliation after she complained about noise on the seventh floor.
"I went to the council a couple of weeks ago. I could run off all sorts of complaints about my neighbour but I'm not spiteful and I don't want to bad-mouth her."
She added: "I tried to resign from the fundraising committee at my children's school after this came up before and the headteacher wouldn't let me. No one else has a problem with me apart from Donna Smith."
