MISS Southampton Kylie Perry has made a heartfelt plea to the city she represents.
The beauty queen wants everyone to vote for her when she takes part in the Miss England finals in London on October 9.
Kylie, 19, got into modelling by accident when her father Martin, who runs And Magazine, asked her to take part in an article for the publication.
He said: "I wanted to see what it was like trying to break into modelling and, to be honest, I didn't know if Kylie would make it but it's really taken off for her."
As part of the assignment, Kylie joined the Modelhub agency and it was through them that she won the title of Miss Southampton.
Kylie said: "Modelhub was asked to put
forward girls for the title of Miss Southampton and I found out afterwards that I had been
chosen."
As part of the new style beauty contest, Kylie must prove she has the backing of the city by recording as many votes as possible.
Martin, whose And Publishing firm is
sponsoring Kylie's beauty contest quest, added: "We really want everyone in the city to get behind Kylie and support her in the Miss England contest.
"Every single vote is important and we would like everyone to back her because this is good for the city."
There are two ways to vote for Kylie - online at www.missengland.info or text "vote Kylie Perry" to 81444.
