YOUNGSTERS at Southampton General Hospital's children's cancer ward got a pizza the action when a local fast food restaurant paid a visit.
Domino's Pizza donated an auction prize to the Leukaemia Busters Grand Hawaiian Ball, which took place in May, to raise money for the charity as well as
putting a smile on the faces of the children that the organisation is trying to help with its research.
The prize was for 100 pizza meal vouchers - each for one large pizza, garlic bread pizza and a dessert - to be used by the children and families of the Piam Brown ward.
It proved to be an extremely popular lot and finally auctioned for £2,000, contributing to the evening's fundraising total of more than £41,000 for the Leukaemia Busters Cure for All Campaign.
The benefactor was long-term charity supporter Peter Robertson, of Condor Office Solutions.
