THEY say every cloud has a silver lining.
And while thousands of Southampton residents were down in the mouth about city bosses plans to revamp waste collection in the city - one Hedge End businessman was laughing all the way to the bank.
The Liberal Democrat controlled Southampton City Council has decided to press ahead with their controversial recycling scheme that will see residents' household waste collected once a fortnight - in spite of being defeated by a thumping majority at full council.
But for the boss of a wheelie bin cleaning service - the controversial result has been nothing but good news.
Adam Thompson who runs Eastleigh based Eco-wheelie already provides a bin cleaning service for residents in both Southampton and Eastleigh.
He thinks that with an estimated 50,000 new wheelie bins being rolled out over the city in the next 18 months his business can only benefit. He said: "I could not be happier. There are going to be 50,000 extra wheelie bins to clean. Food is going to be in the bins for a longer period of time and the bins are going to smell more. People who are living with the smell are going to become customers."
Adam's cleaning service began four years ago in Eastleigh.
