TRAFFIC police in Whitchurch say there were 41 collisions in their area reported during August - 28 of which resulted in 39 injuries.
One fatal accident happened on the A342 at Penton Corner with the majority of other injury accidents occurring on the A303, A343 and A30.
Sgt Mike Streeter said: "It is always sad when people lose their lives in road incidents, and our thoughts and condolences go to the family and friends of Michael Nurse.
"We are still investigating this incident and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision that occurred on the A342 at Penton Corner about 7.17am on 20 August."
He added: "It was pleasing to see that the A3057 saw no incidents during August, however there is increasing concern over the A30 between Sutton Scotney and Lopcombe Corner. This road will be closely monitored by my officers in an effort to identify the root cause of these incidents."
Hampshire Constabulary is becoming increasingly concerned about the number of motorcyclists being killed or seriously injured and have issued a reminder about the EDGE44 initiative where riders can refine their riding skills as well as picking up other useful tips.
