ALL children reach a point where they decide that they want to grow up, but Janey wants to grow up too quickly.
Thirteen-year old Janey (Alicia Fulford-Wierzbicki) and her family settle into their isolated seaside cottage for another perfect holiday.
Her days are spent swimming and fishing but in the evenings it is the adults' turn to have fun at her parents' parties, where they drink, dance and flirt.
Janey becomes increasingly aware of the cracks in her parents' marriage as she watches her mother embark on an affair with a visiting photographer.
She begins to discover her own sexuality and decides it's time for her to grow up.
Based on Kirsty Gunn's celebrated novel, Rain takes a provocative look at childhood and the transience of relationships.
