HUNDREDS gathered on Hazeldown Farm in Longstock at the weekend to watch farmers ploughing the field with equipment from days gone by.
It was a great family day out with horse ploughs, tractors, combine harvesters and water pumps, as well as stalls, beer tents and a disco.
Villagers could see how farming used to be done as much as 80 years ago.
Stockbridge Carnival Committee and Upper Test Valley Vintage Club raised more than £700, which is being donated to Naomi House Children's Hospice at Sutton Scotney.
Joy Watts who helped organise with her husband David said: "It was a great success.
"We had such a variety of machinery and stalls. "People came on Saturday and then returned on Sunday." The vintage day will now be an annual event after such a successful turnout at the weekend.
