ART lovers can get an in-house experience by visiting a Hill Head home that has been turned into an art gallery.
Artist Jane Michaelis has opened her house in Solent Road to the public to for a week as part of the Hampshire Artists Open Studios event.
As well as displaying her own work, including engravings, pastels and watercolours of marine and local scenes, Jane is exhibiting hand-decorated scarves by June Forbes and floral paintings by Elisabeth Blake.
Jane said the exhibition was an important part of promoting local artists. "I think it is a very valuable way of getting people access and interested in work by local artists," she said.
"I have already had more than 15 people come into my studio at home, so it is proving popular."
The exhibition is open from 11am to 7pm at 9 Solent Road, Hill Head, until Saturday.
