AUSTRIAN police have extended their help to the group of friends who are looking for missing hiker Jeffrey Moore.
The group has travelled to the country to help in the search for Mr Moore who went missing while on holiday there with his fiancee.
So far the group have distributed leaflets bearing Mr Moore's picture and description in several different languages around the alpine resort where the pair were staying.
Yesterday, the group met with Austrian police who agreed to help distribute the flyers and put them up in local shops and cafes. Co-ordinating the search from his Portchester home, Neil Ravenhill said: "The local people have been really helpful and supportive of what we are doing out there. Yesterday the group had to get through an area of national park which incurred a toll, but once they explained what we were doing the officials let them through for free."
Today, the group will attempt to drive to the viewing spot Franz Josef Ho which 37-year-old Mr Moore was trying to reach when he went missing more than two weeks ago.
