WATERBABIES who love splashing around in their local pool can experience more of the underwater world in an exciting new course for children in Southampton.
Yo-Yo Divers, of Dyer Road, Shirley, is offering children the chance to learn new underwater skills with the PADI Bubble Maker scheme.
Kids are taught how to breathe and act by highly-qualified divers while they are submerged into the depths of the swimming pool in scuba gear.
Although diving in open water cannot be done until they are in their teens, this is a great opportunity for
children to learn the basic skills while having a great time splashing about away from the TV.
Rick Barker, of Yo-Yo Divers, said: "This is a taste of scuba diving in a totally controlled environment, where expertly trained staff incorporate pool games with fun play to develop diving skills and enhance learning about our superb underwater environment."
The Bubble Maker scheme is held at Shirley Swimming Pool every Thursday between 7pm and 9pm.
It is aimed at children between eight and ten. Call 023 8078 0847 for details.
