SOUTHAMPTON singing superstar Craig David has drafted in extra security after receiving a death threat before the latest leg of his sell-out tour. (6/3/01)
Policing has been stepped up and extra security has been brought in after the chart-topper took a call saying a soldier would attack him at last Thursday's Wembley Arena concert.
The caller said the attack would involve hand grenades and tear gas. Craig, 19, who is on tour, said: "Obviously I have to take the threat seriously, but I don't want it to affect my shows."
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police would not comment.
