THIEVES have stolen Craig David's two treasured MTV awards won at a star-studded ceremony in Germany last week.
The awards for best R&B Act and best UK & Ireland Act were ready to be engraved for the Southampton star when they were snatched from MTV headquarters in Oxford Street, London.
Thieves stole 21 MTV awards stored in a box between 5.30pm on Monday and 10am the next day, when a member of staff discovered them missing.
The awards for all the MTV winners including Robbie Williams, Gorillaz and Dido, are valued at £6,500.
They had been delivered back to London from Frankfurt where the MTV awards ceremony took place.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "We are appealing for witnesses following the theft of 21 MTV awards from the MTV headquarters at 180 Oxford Street."
Craig is currently touring in America and was unavailable for comment.
