THE worst thing about not having a Premiership match on a Saturday or a Sunday is that you have no control over the position of your team.

This is especially true this week as, before last night's game, Saints could be found at the bottom of the league.

Of course, Dean Richards has gone.

It's a shame, but we all knew it was going to happen as soon as Mr Hoddle had his feet firmly under the table at Tottenham.

I do think there should be some sort of rule where players cannot be poached in the way that some clubs do.

I heard this week that Spurs won't stop at Dean Richards but apparently Tottenham are after two more Saints players - Wayne Bridge and Dan Petrescu.

I don't know how true that is, but look Glenn Hoddle, I know you haven't got much talent in the Tottenham squad but this is taking the micky now!

I suppose this is all part of the business side of the game. No supporter agrees with it.

But, at the end of the day who are we to complain? - we only pay the money!

Saints are going to have to start collecting the points if they want to avoid that dreaded end of season panic and although supporters are starting to worry we must remember we have only had two games at home this season.

So let's hope that in November, when we have a run of a few home games, we can start lifting ourselves out of the relegation zone.

I think the players should be set a challenge. If Saints do not finish above Tottenham they should have to run through Southampton City Centre with very little on - how about it girls?
