ANOTHER week on and another poor performance by a Saints team which is beginning to look a little too weak for the Premiership.
It takes a lot for me to say this, but this is definitely the worst I have seen since supporting Saints for more than a decade.
Saints' fans have plenty of opinions about what could be done to improve the team and a lot are echoed by the manager and coaching staff.
For example, on the way home from Fulham on Saturday the one thing myself and my Dad agreed on was that it is the midfield which needs improving and not the strike force.
This has never been so evident as it was on Saturday - the midfield was non-existent.
Saints have plenty of creative midfield players when they play as a team but when they play as individuals, as they did at Fulham, then what chance do we have?
It is time for action - but what kind of action?
Do we really have money to spend? Even if we don't there's no excuse.
Let's take Aston Villa for example. They bought in a lot of new players during pre-season, without spending too much money and now they are top of the league... so something must be going right.
Gordon Strachan, if anything, brings spirit to the squad so that is no excuse for the team not playing to their ability.
These are the same players who played with all their heart and to their full ability under Glenn Hoddle and since he left the club it has all gone downhill.
Surely, players can't go from being good to bad overnight?
After speaking to alot of supporters I don't seem to be the only one looking for answers.
These are the kind of questions that the supporters would like to hear the answers to - not from the manager or by the chairman, but from the players themselves.
Up until now, the fans have been patient and given the team time because of the new management and because they didn't have particularly easy games to begin with.
But after the last three games, which have all been winable, we are tired and would like to see something happen.
