DUTCHMAN Jerone Evelein scored on his Jewson Wessex League debut for Eastleigh last night - but the Ten Acres crew had victory snatched away from them two minutes from time in a 1-1 draw with Brockenhurst.
Eastleigh's second-half dominance was rewarded in the 52nd minute when Evelein beat a defender and calmly slotted home.
But just when Trevor Parker's men thought they had the points in the bag, Brock's Mark Dancer skipped onto a throughball and smashed an 89th-minute equaliser past Adam Gage.
Evelein, who is in England studying marketing, made his club debut in Saturday's 2-1 Hampshire Senior Cup win over Cowes. At a strapping 6ft 3ins tall, Eastleigh are hoping he will be the answer to their early-season goal drought which has yielded just ten goals in nine league games.
