Hampshire sailors won five medals in four Olympic classes at Kiel Week, Germany.
Chris Draper, sailing with Hampshire's 2000 Olympic silver medallist Simon Hiscocks, fought off stiff competition to take gold on the final day.
Lymington's double Olympic medallist Ben Ainslie won silver in the Finn class behind the 1996 Olympic silver medallist Sebastien Godefroid of Belgium. Ainslie put his mixed week of results down to "using the event as a training week".
A bronze medal went to Laser Olympic hopeful Paul Goodison, who added to medals won at Palma, Hyeres and SPA Olympic class regattas earlier this year.
In the Tornado class, two Brits lined the top three. Unfortunately due to the light conditions only three races were sailed but Southampton's Hugh Styles and Adam May sailed consistently scoring a sixth, seventh and a first place to finish second overall behind John Lovell and Charlie Ogletree of America. The new team of Rob Wilson and Martin Sellars finished third.
