AN Abbotts Ann woman has received truly royal mail after she was nominated by the Post Office in recognition of her contribution to the community.
Jackie Stanton, aged 46, has been invited to a royal garden party at Buckingham Palace.
As a member of the Abbotts Ann Village Shop Association, Jackie has made an enormous contribution to their new village shop and post office, which opened last year.
"Nominations should acknowledge an individuals contribution, Jackie's contribution as I saw it was recognition of community needs, leadership skills and overcoming obstacles," said nominator Martin Harvey, Post Office rural advisor.
"It has been an honour for me to have been given so much recognition this year, but we must also congratulate all the people who have been involved in the project over the past four years," said Mrs Stanton.
