Andover III 168 lost to St Cross Old Symondians II
A disappointing batting performance saw Andover slump to only their second defeat this season.
After a bright start from Jon Oostendorp (11) Mark Copleston (27), Paul Collins (11), Mark Kavanagh (26) put the score at 107-4, but there was to be no big total, as the middle order collapsed to 113-8. It was left to Chris Hadfield (16) and Neil Shields (16) to take the side to to a respectable 168.
However, this total was always short by about 60 runs, and Andover were unable to apply any pressure. St Cross got home in the 40th over for the loss of only two wickets, one to Hadfield and one to Hooper.
