THE search for a missing woman on the Isle of Wight has been called off after a body was found in the sea at Freshwater Bay.
A post-mortem examination was due to be carried out today on a body found in the sea at about 11am on Sunday.
Police said the victim had still not been identified and a DNA sample would have to be taken to establish who she was.
Hampshire police spokesman Tania Feaver said that, due to items of clothing found in the water with the body, a major search for 22-year-old Seren Edwards had now been called off.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, but police inquiries are continuing on behalf of the coroner.
