A YOUNGSTER from Fareham whose balloon was found washed up on Brighton beach has won a portable TV and video.
Six-year-old Fred Thomas from Ranvilles Infant School picked up his prize in Asda Fareham after his balloon floated furthest.
The store gave 100 balloons to local schools, that raised money by selling them to pupils, and also put up the winner's prize.
Trish Powell from Asda said: "He is over the moon. It's lovely to see such a big smile on a child's face.
"It was to help raise money for the schools who sold the balloons.
"They put their names and addresses on the back and waited to see whose went the furthest."
