SKIMMER are: Richard Hunt (47) on acoustic guitar/vocals, Ritchie Swann (26) keyboard/vocals, Julian Caesar (43) drums/vocals, Mick Taylor (35) fretless bass, Deano Eloson (36) sax and Ingie (who didn't provide a surname, just a nationality - he's from Greece) and at 24 is the baby of the group on lead guitar.
The lads play all original compilations penned by Richard - the songwriting talent - ranging from folky roots to jazzy blues. They refer to their material as 'melodic' and 'eclectic' and cite their influences as: Beatles, Coldplay, Abba, Prodigy, Dixie Chicks, James Taylor. So, now we see where 'eclectic' comes in to play.
They are a familiar sight on the local circuit having played The Joiners, The Brook and most recently The Bluesathon in Lymington.
They promise the Talking Heads audience, "a fabbo night of catchy original songs to make you think, drink, dance and sing on the way home."
