PARTICIPANTS in a special event at Andover Leisure Centre on Sunday will be aiming to help establish a new world record for the number of people working out simultaneously to a choreographed routine.
The event takes place at 11am.
The current world record was set by a Mexican university which recorded 38,000 people simultaneously working out.
Lyn Ardolino, health and fitness manager at Andover lesiure Centre said: "We need as many people as possible to come along to take part in the 10 minute workout."
Anyone interested is asked to contact the leisure centre in advance so a place can be reserved.
The number of people taking part across the UK is expected to exceed 40,000 and it is hoped that more than £40,000 will be raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
