A PARTNERSHIP between staff of the Department of Works and Pensions in Andover and Age Concern Andover led to the start of fortnightly surgeries at Age Concern's Town Mill House Centre in November 2002.

The surgeries, conducted every fortnight on Thursdays (10am to noon), have proved to be very popular with consistently high bookings for appointments.

The partnership is widely acclaimed, having been referred to as a 'flagship venture' at a recent Hampshire-wide conference.

With the advent of the pensions credit and the need for continuing the advice, the surgeries are being extended with an additional afternoon slot, to follow the regular morning surgery.

Two pensions and benefits experts will be on hand and bookings for appointments can be made by calling 01264 354425 or personal visit to the Town Mill House.
