OVER 60 toddlers from Charlton and District Playgroup raised more than £850 for Barnardo's after completing a sponsored half-mile walk.
Foresters Big Toddle for Barnardo's is a nationwide campaign aimed at helping raise money for disadvantaged children who are aged under five.
It took half an hour for the Charlton toddlers to toddle their way around a route at Charlton Church.
"The toddle is about children helping children. There were lots of red faces and drinks after but everyone made it," said a delighted playgroup leader Helen Plested.
Parents and friends walked with the children and cheered them on. All the toddlers enjoyed a teddy bears picnic at the end to celebrate.
