Weston Park's Year 9 footballers kept their cool from the spot to retain the County Schools' Cup after a ding-dong battle with Bishops Challoner of Basingstoke.
After a terrific run to the last 16 of the National Cup, the boys battled through a very tough draw despite being stripped of the services of injured striker Sam James.
An extremely competitive match in the Hurst School grounds looked to have been decided by a 'Ronaldinho' type strike from Weston skipper Liam Crook.
But Bishops fought back to equalise deep in injury time, sending the final into a golden goal period of extra time.
Although Gary Crook and TJ Cuthberton went close for the Southampton lads, the deadlock remained, setting up a nail-biting penalty shootout.
Lewis, Cuthbertson, Turley and, finally, Barron all held their nerve to score for Weston, but the hero of the hour was goalkeeper Matthew Brown who made two crucial saves.
Special mention goes to Mitchell Turley and Craig Randall for their excellent defensive performances.
Weston Park: Brown, Harrington, Turley, Randall, Noyce, Lewis, Prince-Wright, Barron, L Crook (captain), Cuthbertson, G Crook. Subs: Holland, Blake, Arnold, Wilson, Stanley.
