A GRANNY who sparked a row after refusing to move back into her Southampton home following lengthy repair work was today settling into new accommodation.
Flo Giblett had spent three-and-a-half years living in the house next door to her own property in Park Road, Shirley, while major repairs were carried out.
The 76-year-old claimed the £60,000 renovation, funded by Southampton City Council due to Flo's low income, was sub-standard and refused to move back into her own home.
As reported in the Daily Echo, bailiffs moved in to evict the pensioner last week from the adjacent property, where she had been staying since December 2000.
Now Flo has moved into temporary accommodation in the Coxford area of the city. Her landlord helping to move her belongings yesterday.
A Southampton City Council spokesman said inspectors had declared Flo's Park Road home safe, secure and comfortable for her return but said she remained unhappy about a number of minor elements of the building work.
