DIRECT Marketing Systems in Farlington, Portsmouth, has spun off its direct mailing activities into a new subsidiary company, DIRECT MAIL WORKS.
The move enables the parent company to concentrate on direct marketing consultancy, database management, e-mail marketing, direct response advertising, quality sales lead generation and telemarketing, while the subsidiary handles the ever-increasing volume of physical mail traffic the group is attracting.
Company director Peter Mill said: "We are very pleased with the company's steady growth over the last five and a half years and it is the right time to make this change.
"We have a large corporate client base, some of whom require us to work closely with them on far-reaching direct marketing strategies and implementation, while others use just the physical mailing side - or 'envelope labelling and stuffing', as it is known.
"Clearly each type of work requires different personnel, capital equipment, systems and so on.
"When we were smaller, this diversity wasn't a problem, but now that the volume of work and staff numbers has grown, it is important to separate the two types of work altogether."
