It was a great weekend for Hampshire golf with Martin LeMesurier virtually rubber-stamping his passport on to the European Tour and the county women's team making it through to the regional final of the Inter-County Championship.
LeMesurier, from Brokenhhurst Manor, has endured the agony of twice missing out at Tour School.
But he won't have to go through that torture this autumn. His second victory of the season on the Challenge Tour, this one in the Luxembourg Open, carried him to the top of rankings.
Hampshire women beat Hertfordshire in the last decisive match of county week at Royal Winchester to book a date with Kent in the zonal final at Hockley on July 21.
