CINEMATIC locations in the New Forest are wanted for future blockbusters with local councillors keen to have the area immortalised on the silver screen.
A new website is on the look-out for scenic forest scenes or picturesque villages to provide film companies and television producers around the globe with a range of options for possible story settings.
Hampshire County Council is calling for landowners, farmers, local authorities and members of the public to nominate interesting, unusual or historic locations which could be included on Film Hampshire.
The council has commissioned Henry Neild, a location consultant, to design and develop the site, and aims to have at least 100 venues signed up ready for its launch in July.
It will cover more than a dozen categories, including churches, country houses, villages, farms, parks and forests, beaches, shopping centres, sports facilities and gardens.
The website will include photographs of locations, as well as practical information such as the availability of parking, which film location managers will be able to use when looking for somewhere to meet their story requirements.
Anyone wanting to suggest potential locations for inclusion should contact Mr Neild on 01962 854414 or e-mail: henry.neild@btopenworld.com
