THERE'S more to this year's Isle of Wight Festival than rock music.
The weekend open-air festival, which featured the likes of Paul Weller, Bryan Adams and Iggy Pop, may be over and done with, but the music continues tonight with Quay Arts' World Music Extravaganza.
This evening it's the turn of Zimbabwe and the USA, with a double-bill featuring Black Umfolosi and Guy Davis.
Black Umfolosi are an 11-piece group who perform a powerful mix of a cappella African songs interspersed with traditional dancing. They have recently appeared on TV, singing on Jools Holland's show and performing a gumboot dance on The Generation Game.
Guy Davis is American blues-man, who has been compared to Robert Johnson and Howlin' Wolf.
As well as singing and accompanying himself on guitar he also tells shaggy-dog stories, barks and makes train noises on a harmonica.
20 June, Medina Theatre, Newport. Tickets: £10. Box office: 01983 528825/01983 527020.
