Andover III 210-4 beat Ampfield 158-8
THE 3rd XI returned to winning ways with a very good team performance.
Andover were in trouble at 13 for 2 but an excellent stand of 106 between Rob Oostendorp and Mark Copleton (40) put Andover in command. Oostendorp went on to complete his maiden hundred -- a superb achievement. He was well supported by Tim Brown (29*).
Chasing 210 was never an easy task, and McMahon's mean spell 1-20 off 10 overs put the Ampfield behind the run rate. It was left to the youth of Chris Hadfield (4-70) and the experience of Andy Hooper (2-41) to tidy up a well-deserved victory.
