CHARITIES in Andover are being offered the chance to raise funds at a fun run and 10km road race to be held at Thruxton Race Circuit on Sunday 6 July.
This popular event - organised by the Rotary Club of Andover and Andover Athletic Club, and supported by Test Valley Borough Council - begins with the 10km road race for serious athletes at 11am.
This will be followed by the 3.79km Test Valley Fun Run at 12.30pm.
Organisation and individuals taking part can use the events to help raise funds for their own clubs, as well as making a donation to the main charities involved, which are the Countess of Brecknock and Naomi House Children's hospices.
Organisers says that Thruxton Race Circuit is a safe and secure location for the event.
It has excellent facilities and parking, and it is an ideal location for both able-bodied and disabled athletes.
Information on the event and entry forms can be found on the race website at www.thruxton10k@runforfun.co.uk or by calling Alex Collister on 01264 323795.
