DEPOSED Bashley skipper Darren Robson is on his way back to Gosport Borough.
The ambitious Wessex League club have swooped for the 33-year-old central midfielder just a week after capturing the signature of ex-Saints striker Paul Moody.
Robson, son of AFC Totton manager John, is no stranger to Privett Park. He played for Borough for two seasons between 1989 and 1991, scoring 11 goals in 61 appearances during their old Southern League days.
His travels have also taken him to Basingstoke, Aldershot, Farnborough, Worthing and Waterlooville and he has spent the last three years at Bashley where he was transfer-listed earlier this month.
The formalities of releasing Robson, pictured, from his Bashley contract are still to be finalised, but Gosport are confident they have got their man.
Gosport have also signed wide man Ian Dyer from Alton Town.
As Robson departs Bashley, another player is coming in.
The Foresters are signing out-of-contract central defender Ollie Cherrett from Dorchester Town.
