Saints striker Agustin Delgado will show he's back in England early for pre-season training by opening the Bevis Town Primary School Annual Summer Fayre on Saturday.
The controversial Ecuadorian, who failed to report on time for pre-season training last year, says he is recovering from his latest back injury and is hoping to finally make a go of it at St Mary's after 18 troubled months. But this weekend he's doing his bit for the community by helping to raise money for the school by attending the event, which runs from 12.30-2pm at the Southampton school in Forster Road and is open to anybody. Donna Grassie, chairman of the school's PTA, said: "One of the mothers at the school is a translator and does work for Saints and she knows Agustin and he very kindly said he would do it.
"We're hoping to have him in goal so some of the children can shoot at him for 20p a go and I'm sure he'll prove very popular.
"James Beattie has been to the school recently and these players are an inspiration for the kids."
