Russell Tate won the ERIF Hampshire MatchPlay title at Corhampton last night then set himself the target of all four Hampshire majors in the same year.
The Lee-on-Solent assistant professional, who won the Hampshire Open last July, had to overcome fierce opposition from James Pitcher.
The young Romsey assistant was three up at one stage before being edged out by Tate on the last green.
