JUSTIN ROSE swaps the perils of Olympia Fields for the gentler climbs of Waybrook Park in Basingstoke today.
The Hampshire golfing star, fresh from his superb fifth place in the US Open on Sunday, headlines a golfing day to raise money for the Wessex Cancer Trust.
Rose lost his father Ken to leukaemia nearly a year ago and agreed to headline this event which it is hoped will raise between £3,000-£5,000 for a new cancer centre at the local Basingstoke hospital.
Three players have bid £850 to partner Rose in a fourball which is due to tee off at 2pm.
The public are welcome along to the event which concludes with an auction of sporting memorabilia including the flag of the 18th hole at the US Open of 2000, donated by the winner Retief Goosen.
