Hampshire can still make the EGU South East League play-off after beating Sussex 7.5-4.5 at Brokenhurst Manor.
The defending champions had an uphill battle in their league group after losing their first match against Kent, but they have bounced back in style with wins over Dorset and now Sussex, despite being without their two international players Martin Young and David Porter.
Star of the show at the Manor was Richard Elmes who warmed up for his defence of the county title with an emphatic 6&4 win over Arwell Roberts. Match details (Hampshire names first):
Foursomes: K Weeks & J Young beat C McCollum & T Coulson by two holes, R Henley & R Elmes beat N Griffin & J Budgen by two holes, R Eggo & A Bow halved with C Newman & M Lindfield, M Thistleton & T Markwick lost to A Roberts & W Hawes by one hole.
