THE catwalk came back to Eastleigh on Saturday and could now become an annual fixture in the town's showpiece Swan shopping centre.
Professional models strutted their stuff while the Summer Fashion 2003 event featured music, dance and a bit of rap.
A similar debut event last year was such a hit that the centre decided to repeat the show with three performances, keeping shoppers entertained throughout the day.
Swan Centre operations manager Paul Tyson said: "It went down really well with people last time and all the tenants enjoyed the success for weeks afterwards - they were literally selling out of all the items on show."
Looking at the large number of people watching the 11.30am performance on Saturday, he added: "I can't see us not doing it again."
London-based professional fashion show company Classique Event Management organised the day, designed to showcase the range of goods, fashion and services available in the Eastleigh centre, and Danceworks Studios provided young dancers and models who put their hearts and souls into entertaining the audiences.
Jackie Hallett, 52, of Chadwick Road, Eastleigh, said: "I think it's a good idea. It attracts people and it's an added thing to shopping on a Saturday."
