HAMPSHIRE'S naked rights campaigner Steve Gough was planning to bare all today for a walk from Land's End to John O'Groats.
The 44-year-old Eastleigh father of two has set up his own website, which will chart his progress from the bottom to the top of Britain.
Before setting off he told the Daily Echo: "I don't know how far I will get. I might get arrested."
He says that his walk is a celebration of the human body and a campaign to enlighten the public, as well as the authorities, that the freedom to go naked in public is a basic human right.
Steve says the walk will take about 40 to 60 days, averaging 20 miles a day. He has a sleeping bag and when he is not walking, will be sleeping under the stars.
On the website Steve has posted the map he will be following.
On Friday Steve agreed to cover up when he appeared before Southampton magistrates. He denied an allegation under section five of the Public Order Act.
It followed a five-mile naked cycle trek which he made earlier in the year to the BBC South studios in Havelock Road, Southampton, to record an interview.
